Girl Scout cookie sales start Feb. 11. To celebrate a huge milestone for cookie sales, and to thank cookie buyers, a new flavor will be available for them to purchase.

“This is the 100th anniversary of girls selling cookies, so they came out with a new cookie called S’mores,” explains Brenda Soyez, cookie cupboard manager for the county and Marion Girl Scout leader. It is a sandwich cookie with chocolate and marshmallow filling between two graham cracker cookies.

Other cookies available include Lemonades, Thanks-a-Lots, Caramel Delights, Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties and Sandwiches, Shortbread, and gluten-free Trios.

The sale runs through March 19. Girl Scouts will have cookie booths around Marion on Saturdays starting Feb. 18.
