Friendship Day celebrated with tea

May Friendship Day was celebrated with “Tea at Three” Friday at Valley United Methodist Church.

A program entitled “Kindling New Fires of Love” consisted of scripture, hymns, a skit, a Bible study handout, and a Fellowship of the Least Coin offering.

Those participating included song leader Sue Clough, pianist Lydia Gates, Mary Ford, Margaret Wilson, and Connie Fisher.

Atendess participated in a word quiz with answers ending in tea/day.

The group voted to give the days, offering to a planned kids cooking class that will be held in June at Eastmoor United Methodist Church in partnership with Valley United Methodist Church.

May Friendship Day was sponsored by Marion Church Women United.
