April 4

11:31 a.m. — Hillsboro fire was notified of a fire alarm in the new Hillsboro Community Hospital building on Industrial Rd. Dispatchers were then informed that something had accidentally been pulled, causing the alarm to go off.

9:14 p.m. — A man was reported as possibly having a stroke in the 300 block of N. Locust St. but refused transport from Marion ambulance.

April 5

3:02 a.m. — A man not feeling well in the 100 block of S. Church St. in Goessel was transported by Hillsboro ambulance to Newton Medical Center.

7:50 a.m. — A man having seizures in the 100 block of E. Crane Ave. in Lost Springs was transported to Herington Municipal Hospital by Tampa ambulance.

THURSDAY

1:37 a.m. — A person who fell at Westview Manor in Peabody was transported by Peabody ambulance to St. Luke.

8:28 a.m. — A young man near Division and Walnut Sts. in Peabody was reported by dispatchers as having been in a fight and suffering from jaw pain. He refused transportation from Marion ambulance.

8:56 p.m. — A woman with a possible broken ankle was transported by Hillsboro ambulance from the 500 block of Grand St. to HCH.

FRIDAY

3:26 a.m. — A person who fell was transported by Hillsboro ambulance from Parkside Homes to HCH.

9:03 a.m. — A person with a broken hip was transported by Hillsboro ambulance per doctors orders from Parkside Homes to Newton Medical.

10:02 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance, Marion rescue, and Marion fire were called to the area of US-56 and Sunrise Rd. for a vehicle on fire. A person reported to dispatchers that a field was beginning to catch on fire as well. The fire was quickly contained, but the vehicle was a total loss. No transportation was provided.

7:05 p.m. — A person who had fallen on K-15 between 150th and 160th Rds. refused transportation from Marion ambulance. At 11:47 p.m., Marion ambulance was called back to the scene, as the person had fallen again and needed assistance.

SATURDAY

1:33 p.m. — Florence fire responded east of Florence on US-50 for a ditch fire.

9:18 p.m. — Florence ambulance responded to a deer vs. car accident near US-50 and Sunflower Rd. No transportation was provided.

SUNDAY

3:29 a.m. — Peabody ambulance transported a person from Peabody Health and Rehab to Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital.

6:31 a.m. — A man with difficulty breathing was transported by Tampa ambulance from Chisholm Trail Rd. between 330th and 340th Rds. to Lindsborg Community Hospital.

12:35 p.m. — A woman in her 40s who was having a possible heart attack was transported by Marion ambulance from the 200 block of Eisenhower Rd. to St. Luke.

3:05 p.m. — Marion ambulance performed an advanced-life-support transfer from St. Luke to Newton Medical.

5:38 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance told dispatchers they had arrived at Newton Medical Center. No dispatches indicating a reasoning for the call were recorded by the newspaper’s system.

monday

5:50 a.m. — A man who had previously fallen and was having difficulty walking was transported by Marion ambulance from the 1000 block of E. Main St. to St. Luke.

9:58 a.m. — A woman in her 70s who was spitting up blood was transported by Marion ambulance from Hilltop Manor to St. Luke.

4:23 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance performed a transfer from Via Christi—St. Francis back to HCH.

4:32 p.m. — Hillsboro fire responded to 250th and Bison Rds. for a controlled burn that got out of control.

8:51 p.m. — A teen-aged girl having a seizure was transported by Marion ambulance from the 200 block of S. Cedar St. to St. Luke.
