Nov. 1

3:38 a.m. — Goessel first responders, Peabody ambulance, and “EMS1,” the call sign typically used by EMS director Ed Debesis, responded to the 200 block of N. Wheat St. for an individual with chest pains who had vomited and was “clammy.” The individual was transported to Newton Medical Center.

5:16 p.m. — A woman with an unspecified condition at Parkside Homes assisted living was transported by Marion ambulance to Hillsboro Community Hospital.

nov. 2

9:01 a.m. — Hillsboro fire conducted a controlled burn of a structure on Nighthawk Rd.

11:26 a.m. — A woman in her 90s who was unresponsive in the 1500 block of E. Main St., Marion, was transported by Marion ambulance to St. Luke Hospital.

3:03 p.m. — Peabody ambulance transferred a patient from Hillsboro Community Hospital to Kansas Heart Hospital, Wichita.

9:11 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transported a LifeTeam helicopter crew from Hillsboro airport to HCH and back.

11:52 a.m. — A man at Subway in Marion who fell, hit his head, and was bleeding was transported by Marion ambulance to St. Luke.

2:28 p.m. — Marion ambulance transported a patient from St. Luke to Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

3:07 p.m. — Tampa ambulance was dispatched to the 300 block of N. E St. in Ramona for a teenage girl who reportedly cut her arm on a broken windowpane. The call was terminated after determining the girl was reportedly being transported to Herington Municipal Hospital by private vehicle.

5:29 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance responded to Hillsboro High School gymnasium for a child with a possible broken arm. Transportation was refused and the child was taken to HCH by private vehicle.

10:54 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance performed a basic-life-support transport from HCH to Salina Regional Health Center.

1:10 a.m. — Durham fire responded to a report of hay bales on fire at the old school. After arriving on scene, a Durham firefighter requested a sheriff’s deputy be dispatched due to a possibility of arson.

9:22 a.m. — Marion firefighters established a landing zone at Marion Sports and Aquatic Center for a LifeTeam helicopter participating in the county health fair.

10:28 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance performed an advanced-life-support transfer from St. Luke to Via Christi – St. Francis, Wichita.

11:47 p.m. — Hillsboro fire responded Cedar dormitory at Tabor College for a fire alarm. No smoke or fire was discovered.

1:43 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transferred a patient from HCH to Newton Medical Center.

8:09 a.m. — A woman in her 60s with a possible hip or leg fracture at a residence on Pinetree Rd. at the county lake was transported by Florence ambulance to St. Luke.

8:25 a.m. — Hillsboro ambulance responded to Oakwood Apartments for a report of a woman on a floor who was unresponsive. Hillsboro fire was dispatched to provide lifting assistance. At 8:32 a.m., emergency personnel requested that law enforcement and a coroner be dispatched to the scene.

3:48 p.m. — Hillsboro fire responded to Cedar dormitory at Tabor College for a fire alarm. No smoke or fire was discovered.

5:06 p.m. — Peabody ambulance responded the 100 block of N. Walnut St. for a woman who fell. The woman was transported to Newton Medical Center.

8:13 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance transported an individual with an unspecified condition from Parkside Homes to HCH.

10:46 p.m. — Hillsboro ambulance was dispatched to the airport to provide transportation for an incoming LifeTeam crew to and from HCH. Upon arrival at the airport, the ambulance crew was advised that LifeTeam did not take off due to inclement weather, and was redirected to HCH, where they picked up a patient for transfer to Via Christi – St. Francis.

monday

2:04 a.m. — Peabody ambulance was dispatched to Parkside Homes for an individual with a high fever, but was dismissed when Hillsboro ambulance reported as having returned from a Wichita transfer run. Hillsboro ambulance transported the individual to HCH.

9:14 p.m. — Marion and Hillsboro EMTs responded to the 700 block of Weldon St. in Marion for an elderly male with chest pains. The man was transported to St. Luke.
