Documentary celebrates preserve’s anniversary

“Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve: A Flint Hills Love Story” will debut 7 p.m. Saturday at Granada Theatre in Emporia.

Film producer Dave Kendall created the 88-minute documentary to mark the 20th anniversary of the national park near Strong City.

The National Park Service will hold celebration activities at the preserve during the afternoon.

A second screening will be 1 p.m. Nov. 20 at Wareham Opera House in Manhattan, followed by a reception at Flint Hills Discovery Center.
