NEW JAILINGS

Kevin D. Bernhardt, 37, Hillsboro, jailed Friday for 48 hours on court orders. Previously jailed Oct. 14 for allegedly violating probation; Nov. 13 to 15, 2020, on court orders; and Dec. 7, 2019, on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery.

Joseph A. Biehler, 32, Herington, jailed Jan. 17 for failing to appear in court two times and for allegedly violating probation three times. Held in lieu of $15,000 bond. Previously jailed 12 times for a total of 23 days between May 8, 2018, and March 10, 2021. Previous jailings were for revocation of bond; for allegedly violating probation twice previously; for failing to appear in court three times; and on suspicion of three counts of burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, criminal damage to property, theft by deception, two counts of possession of stimulants, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, interference with a law enforcement officer, possession of a stolen firearm, driving with a defective taillight, and driving while his license was canceled, suspended, or revoked.

Nicholas E. Cook, 43, Ogden, arrested Sunday by a deputy sheriff for failing to appear in court. Released an hour later after posting a $6,000 surety bond.

Matthew N. Fay, 20, Hillsboro, arrested Friday by a deputy sheriff on suspicion of violation probation. Bond not set.

Natalie R. Geren, 40, Marion, jailed Jan. 17 for allegedly violating probation twice. Held in lieu of $40,000 bond. Previously jailed 11 times for a total of 54 days between Dec. 12, 2018, and Oct. 17, 2022. Previous jailings were on court orders; for allegedly violating probation; for failing to appear in court 14 times; and on suspicion of domestic battery, interfering with and battery of a law enforcement officer, and possessing stimulants, drug paraphernalia twice, and another controlled substance.

Kordell L. Harding, 29, Madison, jailed Jan. 18 for failing to appear in court. Released Monday after posting a $5,000 surety bond. Previously jailed Feb. 3 to 15 on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property, and two courts of probation violation.

Nicholas S. Hoffner, 31, Hillsboro, arrested Sunday by a deputy sheriff on suspicion of violating a protective order. Released 16 hours later after posting a $2,500 surety bond.

Jacob P. Howard, 32, Newton, arrested Friday by a bounty hunter for failing to appear in court. Released three hours later after posting a $5,000 surety bond. Previously jailed Oct. 1 and 2, 2020, on suspicion of possessing marijuana.

Jaysten L. McClure, 28, Wichita, held Friday for the state Department of Corrections. Transferred Tuesday. Previously jailed Nov. 12 to 14, 2021, on court orders; July 12 and 13, 2021, for allegedly violating probation; and Nov. 21 to 23, 2019, on suspicion of possessing and distributing stimulants, possessing drug paraphernalia, having no drug tax stamp, and contributing to a child’s misconduct.

Abrey A. Nichols, 18, Lehigh, arrested Jan. 18 by a deputy sheriff on suspicion of rape, aggravated criminal sodomy, and aggravated sexual battery. Released 16 hours later after posting a $30,000 surety bond.

Austin E. Stahlheber, 19, Peabody, arrested Monday by a deputy sheriff on suspicion of possessing stimulants, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Bond not set.
