SENIOR CENTER:   Commission candidate speaks with seniors

Marion Senior Center

Trayce Warner, a candidate for county commissioner, made an appearance Sept. 11 to speak to seniors. Warner is running for one of the two new positions on the expanded commission.

Harlow’s grilled burgers are back after a two-month absence. Harlow grilled Sept. 11 and will do so again the 25th.

This past week Shirley Bowers brought in flowers called digitalis.

The seniors appreciate everyone who brings in produce, tomatoes and cucumbers especially.

Jean Pierce, who now lives at Marion Assisted Living, came to eat with her former lunch-goers Sept. 11.

Angels Care will present a program Sept. 25 on understanding Alzheimer’s and dementia.
