An illicit rooster’s “cock-a-doodle-doo” ruffled feathers with neighbors in Marion Friday.

The rooster was living at 828 N. Cedar St., adjacent to PrarieLand Partners.

Marion police banished it from city limits after a neighbor called to complain about the rooster’s overzealous song.

Chicken hens are the only fowl city code allows citizens to keep.
