Citizenship in Action seeks youth participants

Youth, 13 to 18 years old prior to Jan. 1, are invited to register for Citizens in Action, a two-day event to be held at the Kansas Capitol on Feb. 18-19.

Participants will have an opportunity to meet their state legislators and learn about how to be involved in legislative decisions that affect their communities. They will tour the capital building and can schedule meetings with their local legislators.

The cost of $170 includes lodging, meals, insurance, and program fees. Youths must be accompanied by adult chaperones.
