Church women celebrate world event

Women from Marion area churches gathered Friday at Marion Presbyterian Church for a soup luncheon celebrating World Community Day.

Jeremiah Lange presented a program on his recent trip to Cuba.

Sue Clough and pianist Lydia Gates led singing and Mary Ford read scripture. Eileen Sieger read a monologue written from the perspective of a family table, reinforcing the event’s theme, “Sharing Gifts at the Table.”

The event was sponsored by Marion Church Women United.
