The Centre volleyball team finished in third place Saturday at the Wheat State League Tournament at Little River.

In the first game, Centre lost to Elyria in three sets.

Centre defeated Peabody-Burns in the second game 25-15, 25-16, but lost to Solomon in the third match 9-25, 22-25.

The Lady Cougars went on to lose to Goessel, 9-25, 13-25, then defeated Wakefield 25-15, 25-20 to claim third place.

The girls finished the regular season at 12-19. They will compete against Lebo, Wakefield, Clifton-Clyde, and Rural Vista in the substate tournament Saturday at Wakefield.
