Centre FFA members Cole Srajer, Greg Oborny, Austin Peterson, Payton Harms, and Davi Salgado participated Feb. 8 in a South Central District meats evaluation event at Kiowa.

They identified various retail cuts of beef, pork, and lamb and judged animal carcasses for yield and quality.

“The team placed seventh in the district and got a chance to learn more about the meat industry through hands-on learning,” said sponsor Laura Klenda.
