To cut down on volunteer work time, Marion Senior Center is trying a new do-it-yourself beverage system, which seems to be catching on nicely.

More than 20 meal delivery, dining room, pianist, registration, and other volunteers were honored April 26. Their names also were written on paper butterflies attached to a big bulletin board.
Gayla Ratzlaff and Lanell Hett lead an April 25 volunteer recognition event honoring the county Department on Aging helpers who drive people to appointments, assemble newsletters, etc.
Rhonda Brenzikofer brought six Florence/Burns area women’s club members to the center April 25.
Patrons munched doughnuts given to the center by FamLee Bakery one day last week.
Bob and Anita Brookens will perform a musical program May 11.
