Center to celebrate Elvis’s birthday

Marion Senior Center

An evening of poodle skirts, saddle oxfords, and rock ’n’ roll is planned for 7 p.m. Friday when Marion Senior Center celebrates Elvis Presley’s birthday.

Impersonator Marc Baker will perform, and local fans calling themselves the Pinkettes plan to be present.

Elvis songs and movies will be shown throughout the day.

Barbara Harden brought hot cider Dec. 21. Bill and Vickie Kaempfe and others brought a bountiful table of goodies, and Santa Claus stopped by.

Sue Clough conducted a drawing for gifts, and meals were provided by David Goodman, grandson of Irmagene Goodman, as his Christmas gift to her.

The center plans a lunchtime program Jan. 10.
