Carlsons’ Grocery was recognized last week for ingenuity in marketing.

Associated Wholesale Grocers, Carlsons’ wholesale company, gave Greg and Mitch Carlson an Excellence in Marketing award during a brief ceremony at the store Oct. 23.

Steve Hudnall, district sales manager for the region, nominated the Carlsons for the annual award. One award is given in a three-state region that contains more than 300 stores.

“Different district sales managers will submit names,” Hudnall said. “All the division teams will vote on the winner. I submitted Greg for what he’s done with the bins and the front.”
