Ages 4 to 91, they're winners all

Winners of this year’s newspaper Christmas contests ranged in age from 4-year-old coloring contest winner Kaylee Hunter of Marion to 91-year-old recipe winner Kathryn Lunderman, also of Marion.

Anne and Raymond Janzen of Hillsboro also won the newspaper Christmas lighting contest.

Kaylee won a giant stocking filled with Christmas goodies. Other winners won gift certificates to local restaurants.

In Peabody, meanwhile, Peabody Dreamers Club selected Peabody-Burns Adventure Club as winner of its Christmas Tree Cruise contest.

The students were among 15 classes and clubs from elementary, middle, and high schools who decorated Christmas trees in Peabody businesses early in December.

“We had a great response from the kids and almost every business in town — not just downtown — participated,” organizer Linda Miles-Martinez said.

Adventure Club will receive a $50 for a tree it decorated at A Little Off the Top.
