REPORTED

These accident reports were released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

US-56 east of Eagle Rd.

Martha J. Serviss, 71, Canton, hit a deer at 5:50 a.m. July 20 with her 2012 Chevrolet Malibu. She did not report being injured, and her car remained functional.

In a separate accident at 2 a.m. July 26 at the same location, Christa L. Armbrister, 28, McPherson, hit a deer with her 2016 BMW X1. She likewise did not report being injured, and her car remained functional.

US-56 east of Pawnee Rd.

Isaac M. Whipple, 24, Moundridge, hit a deer at 7:14 p.m. July 23 with his 2018 Ford Explorer.

Neither he nor passengers Ali J. Blazek, 28, and Alex Williams, 3, of the same address reported injuries, but the car sustained front-end damage and was towed.

US-56 west of Chisholm Trail Rd.

Ethan L. Frantz, 30, rural Hillsboro, hit a deer at 10:25 p.m. July 24 with his 2014 Dodge Caravan.

Neither he nor passengers Emily L. Franz, 28; Landry Frantz, 3; and baby Paislee Franz, all of the same address, reported injuries. The van remained functional.

US-56 east of Chisholm Trail Rd.

Dustin J. Snow, 34, Garden City, hit a raccoon at 11:17 p.m. July 24 with a 2012 Kia Forte owned by Autumn L. Hankins of McPherson.

Snow did not report injuries. Although front-end damage to the car was listed as disabling, no towing company was needed.

K-15 north of 290th Rd.

Dillon J. Horn, 21, Mohave Valley, Arizona, hit a deer at 8 p.m. July 25 with his 2018 Chevrolet Silverardo, which sustained damage characterized as minor. Horn reported no injuries.

120th Rd. east of Goldenrod Rd.

No cause was given for an accident at 10:41 a.m. July 27 in which Miranda R. Walles, 17, rural Hillsboro, drove a 1994 Chevrolet 1500 off the roadway to the right and into a ditch for 100 feet before going through a fence, impacting a culvert, and striking a telephone utility box on the other side of the culvert.

No injuries were reported, but the truck, owned by Douglas G. Walles of the same address, was towed.

The fence was owned by Kurt Herrel of rural Hillsboro; the utility box, by Moundridge Telephone Co.

220 Santa Fe St.

Metro Express semi driver Robert Whitfield, 36, Wichita, clipped a city fire hydrant and metal pole with the rear duals of his 2016 Kenworth while pulling out at 12:09 p.m. July 27 of a parking lot at Container Services.
