Accident reports released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

US-50 east of Pawnee Rd.

Levi Childers, 18, Reno, Nevada, drove his 1992 Honda Civic into a ditch to avoid oncoming traffic while passing a semitrailer at 4:05 p.m. July 5. When it came back onto the road, the Honda was struck from behind by the semi, a 2010 Volvo DL driven by Tomasz Ciesielski, 36, Des Plaines, Illinois and owned by JKC Trucking of Summit, Illinois.

Neither driver was injured. Childers received a citation for improper passing. The Honda was towed.

US-56 east of Nighthawk Rd.

A 2013 Lexus GS2 driven by Kohei Kudo, 33, Dodge City, struck a deer at 9:18 p.m. July 10.
