According to law enforcement reports released Friday:

Old Mill Rd. north of 250th Rd.

Jeffrey Stenzel, 48, Marion, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet 2500 owned by Marion County Highway Department, when he struck a deer at 6:25 a.m. March 31. The vehicle was driven from the scene.

US-77 north of 5th St.

Sherry Nelson, 59, Lincolnville, was driving a 2007 GMC 2500 northbound on US-77 in Florence when the vehicle went off the side of the roadway and struck a light pole owned by KDOT at 4 a.m. April 1. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was towed from the scene. According to the accident report, Nelson stated she thought she fell asleep.
