According to law enforcement reports released Monday:

K-15 south of 260th Rd.

A USD 410 school bus driven by Ronda Wiens, 57, Hillsboro, was northbound on K-15 when the bus reportedly drifted into the southbound lane, striking the right front and side of a 2006 Dodge R15 driven by James Dush, 53, Hillsboro, who was attempting to pass at 6:36 a.m. April 4. Investigating officer David Huntley reported Wiens stated she looked down to read a text and drifted over the center line. Both Wiens and Dush were transported by Hillsboro EMS to Hillsboro Community Hospital, and both vehicles were towed.

190th Rd. west of Remington Rd.

A 1993 Dodge pickup driven by Morgan Radtke, 18, Marion, was westbound on 190th Rd. when the vehicle went onto the north shoulder and struck a culvert marker owned by Marion County Road and Bridge, then crossed over the road and overturned in the north ditch at 10:55 a.m. April 9. Radtke was taken to St. Luke Hospital by Marion County EMS, and the vehicle was towed.

US-77 south of 180th Rd.

A 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Robert Crossland, 44, Haysville, was following another vehicle on US-77 when an aluminum ladder reportedly fell out of the front vehicle. Crossland reportedly swerved to miss the ladder, losing control of the vehicle at 10:34 p.m. April 9, overturning into a ditch. The vehicle with the ladder did not stop. Crossland’s vehicle was towed. Crossland and three passengers were uninjured.

US-50 east of US-77

A 2006 Chevrolet Impala driven by Matthew Wiederholt, 33, Kansas City, Missouri, was westbound on US-50 when Wiederholt reportedly fell asleep, going left of the center line and striking an unknown fixed object at 3:45 a.m. April 7. No accident location or object struck could be identified that night or next day by investigating officer Travis Wilson. The vehicle reportedly had dark orange paint transfer on the driver’s side.

Sunflower Rd. north of US-50

A 2013 GMC Sierra driven by William Fairbrother, 48, Newton, struck a deer at 8:20 p.m. April 11.

US-56 west of K-15

A 2001 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Tony Winter, 50, Marion, struck a black cow that ran into the road at 8:40 p.m. April 2.

US-77 and US-56

Robert Hendrix, 49, Marion, was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle in the US-77/56 roundabout when Hendrix’s left footrest came in contact with the curved lip of the inner circle causing the vehicle to spin out and roll onto its side, coming to rest in the north exit of the roundabout at 7:35 a.m. April 13.
