Accident reports released this past week by law enforcement agencies:

SHERIFF

US-56 and 330th Rd.

An Oklahoma woman was injured when a truck in which she was a passenger was struck by an SUV whose driver allegedly ran a stop sign at 9:28 p.m. June 23.

Eva Turner, 45, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, was taken to a Junction City hospital by a Dickinson County ambulance.

She was a passenger in a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 owned and driven by Charles Turner, 54, of the same address.

The other vehicle, a 2002 Dodge Caravan, was driven by Braulio Rivas, 40, Herington, who was ticketed in the accident.

Both vehicles ended up in a ditch, Rivas’s striking a utility pole.

Although monitored dispatches indicated a second person was taken to St. Luke Hospital, Marion, no other injuries were listed on the accident report.

160th and Falcon Rds.

An eastbound 2015 Jeep Compass driven by Megan Chizek, 24, Hillsboro, clipped a northbound 2007 Chevy Impala driven by Devon Leroy, 18, Goessel, at 11:50 a.m. June 26.

No injuries were reported, and neither vehicle had to be towed.

Although deputy Mike Ottensmeier’s report states that Chizek failed to yield, no ticket was issued.
