The Marion hospital was a bustling place last Saturday as four babies arrived at almost the same time. First to arrive Saturday afternoon was Warren Eugene, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hart.
He was followed by Ronald D. Kreutziger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kreutziger at 9:45 p.m., Steven Paul Childs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Childs, at 10:51 p.m. and Cheryline Edmonds, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Edmonds at 11:25 p.m.
The next day, Sunday, Marsha Lynne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edson Childs was born at 8 p.m. For a small hospital, this constitutes quite a crop.
The application of John L. Brose for a retail liquor store in Marion was approved Wednesday. Brose has leased a portion of the John Dixon building on the east edge of Marion and plans to be open for business by Saturday.
Laura Jane Bredemeier suffered a bad fall from her horse Thursday when the horse shied and threw her, on her head, into a burned straw stack. She had some vertebra dislocated in her back but it is stated her injuries could have been much worse.
