The jury in the Kindred murder trial, on the third ballot, found Gayer “not guilty” at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday. The court is dismissed and the case becomes an unsolved mystery.

E.F. Nelson, prominent Marion businessman for the past 19 years, announced this week the sale of his interests in the Farmers and Drovers National Bank to L.L. Hadsell of Sterling. The transaction will become effective Dec. 1.

Several business places in Marion have been brightened this week by vases of flowers, compliments of Newsom Greenhouse in observance of National Flower Week,

Radio KFH’s popular Ark Valley Boys will be the featured attraction at a show and dance to be held in Tampa Nov. 17. The event is sponsored by the Moffitt-Crandall Post No. 372 of the American Legion.

Three big weekends are planned for kids during the Christmas season. There will be free shows in the afternoons and will climax by a visit from Santa Claus on Dec. 18. At that time, big well-filled bags of treats will be handed out to every boy and girl.
