Dr. Caleb Abbott of Marion, third generation optometrist, is the subject of this week’s Personality Profile. Abbott opened his practice in Marion in September 1969.

Boy Scout Troop 102 spent four days camping last week on a ranch near Castle Rock, Colorado. Scouts attending were Miles Zeller, Monte Dalke, Jeff Harris, Jeff Conyers, Danny Horsch, Mike and Tim Jordan, Danny Annis, and Julian Seaman.

Luci Helmer is pictured with a display of her wheat weavings that had just been judged Saturday as the best entries in the crafts division of the Arts and Craft exhibit in Central Park.
