A Boulder, Colorado, couple, Terry Allen, 37, and his wife, Carol, 34, accused of first degree murder of Dennis and Evelyn Armstrong of rural Tampa, were bound over for arraignment Saturday in Marion County District Court.
Maurice Linnens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Linnens of Cedar Point, has been named president of the National Bank of Wichita.
It couldn’t have been planned, but Dr. Jeff Martin, Marion’s newest physician, delivered his first Marion baby Saturday to the wife of the town’s newest dentist, Dr. David Jensen. The youngster, Eric Robert Jensen, weighed seven pounds 14 ounces and was 20½ inches long.
Donald J. Westerhaus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin G. Westerhaus of Marion, recently joined Pioneer Overseas Corporation, Des Moines, Iowa, as advertising manager.
Mrs. Frank Tajchman, rural Marion, announces the engagement of her daughter, Lanell, to Aaron Hett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hett of Marion. No wedding date has been set.
Sam Moore and Mike Barnett are pictured relaxing in front of Marion High School and appearing bored at the prospect of what the next nine months might bring. The two sixth graders are waiting for the bus to take them to Florence. Drivers were advised to take it slow on the first day of school due to foggy conditions.
