The Duckwall’s store in Marion is temporarily closed due to storm damage, which ruined the roof and structurally harmed the building. According to Janie Meierhoff, store manager, accumulation of ice and snow during the late October storm caused the damage.

Monsignor Arthur Tonne was honored Sunday noon at a farewell dinner in recognition of his retirement as parish priest at Pilsen for the past 38 years.

“Robo,” an artificial deer with radio-controlled head and tail is being used to cut down on the number of hunters trespassing and shooting from roads, Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks agent Jerry Almquist told Marion Kiwanis Club members Monday.
