Members of Paper Press, a youth organization in Berlin, Germany, will be visiting in Marion March 25 through April 5.

Msgr. Arthur Tonne and parishioner Paul Meysing flew to New York Thursday and appeared on the David Letterman Tonight Show Friday evening. Tonne was in the final segment and drew about the biggest audience response of the night.

Brad Wildin of The County Seat is pictured as he completes removal of carpet Friday at Marion City Library. Volunteers, ranging from grade school children to retired business people moved all 17,000 volumes, as well as large metal shelves, to their new quarters in the city building over a three-day period.

Beary Special Babies born at St. Luke Hospital during the month of February are Allan Deen Cochran, Shelby Lee Alcorn, Cody James Warner, and Kara Dawn Druse.

Marion High School Scholars’ Bowl team members, Chris Hett, Lori Tice, Jennifer Hanson, and Matt Brenzikofer propelled the team into state competition Saturday with a second place regional finish. Julie Sellers will join the team at state, but was unable to attend the regionals.

Christopher Webb, son of Jack Webb of Marion, has been named manager of the American General Finance office in Kansas City, Missouri.
