Members of the Stitch and Chatter Club recently celebrated the club’s 50th anniversary by having dinner at the Brunswick Restaurant in Lindsborg. Present members include charter members Bula Good, Sadie Bernhardt and Dorothy Stiller plus LaVera Bernhardt, Janet Keazer, Aline Bernhardt, Ruby Schroeder, Doris Hett, and Lila Ensey.

Margaret Harris of Marion has been honored by being named the 1990 Marion County 4-H Booster of the Year. Harris was nominated for the award by Happy Hustlers 4-H Club.

Katrina Swan, a senior from Marion, has been named Student of the Month for October by the Marion High School faculty. She is the daughter of Paul and Kathy Swan. She plans to attend Kansas State University where she will study for a career as a business teacher.

A “car bash” sponsored by The Depot, will be 7 p.m. Wednesday evening in the parking lot at the youth center on South Third. The car bash is in preparation for the MHS final football game of the season. The public is invited to participate by donating a dollar for each three bashes delivered. Coach Grant Thierolf will have the honor of administering the first few bashes.

Shannon Klein of Marion has been selected as an officer of the Dragon Dolls dance team at Hutchinson Community College. She is a sophomore at HCC and the daughter of Ralph Klein and Karen Regnier of Marion.
