The Presbyterian Church is at last ready for occupancy. It has been handsomely finished inside, a neat cupola erected, and a new bell placed therein. Services will be held in the church next Sunday. The Sunday school will be reorganized at 9 o’clock. Preaching in the morning and evening at the usual hours.

The town’s assessors are prowling around, poking their olfactory organs into other people’s business, so to speak.

“Father” Mullineaux is rejoicing because people can’t say any more, “If you had a bell to remind and guide me, I would attend church.”

At an official meeting of the officers and members of the Methodist church last Saturday afternoon, it was resolved to build a church in Marion Centre, work to commence as soon as all needful arrangements can be effected.

Several Englishmen, direct from the old country, arrived in Marion Centre last week on a prospecting tour. They represent large interests, and we trust their visit will ultimately result in much good to Marion Centre as well as themselves.
