Mr. Roger Hannaford is preparing to erect a commodious stone dwelling on his farm a few miles southwest of Marion Centre.

For his precision in all points in business and the neatness of his papers, we doubt if Mr. A.E. Case can be excelled.

Mr. F.H. Peabody of Boston, the donor of the Peabody library, has added to its shelves the late Henry Wilson’s great work, “The Rise and Fall of the Slave Power in America.”

Dr. T.T. Davis has removed his residence to the corner of Second and Water streets, opposite the residence of Sheriff Rouse.

C.P. Whitney, now of Bladensburg, Iowa, rejoices in the arrival of a couple of little lady visitors, in other words, twins, at his house on the 12th inst.

The members of the Lincolnville circuit, M.E. church, arranged a grand reception for their new pastor, Rev. N.P Woolpert, at the residence of George Mason on Muddy last Tuesday night.

About twenty-five of the neighbors and friends of Mrs. Fannie Hoch, (wife of W.F.) pieced and presented to her before her removal from near Peabody to Marion Centre, a nice quilt as a parting token of esteem.
