Mrs. McMullin turned out 500 cabinet photos one day last week.

E. Sirris, the rustling cheap store man, who has been away for some months whooping up a branch establishment, is home again.

Ben Carter has built up one of the largest furniture stores in the county. His establishment in the Y.M.C.A. building is crowded with elegant furniture.

A letter from Will Bates to John Wendell tells of his employment in a machine shop in Huntington, W. Virginia, which is presided over by a brother of our excellent fellow citizen, Zachary Taylor.

J.C. Watson returned from Topeka Tuesday with a contract to do all the bridge business, etc. in Shawnee county. Watson & Co. have built and repaired many bridges in the capital city, county, and have given such splendid satisfaction that the commissioners have “lumped” the whole job and put it all in their hands.

Walter Sharp has bought back the mineral well property and will see that the business is boomed for all there is in it. Walter was the discoverer of the valuable “find” and the comfortable stone house which adorns the grounds is the work of his own hands. The water has wonderful curative properties, no doubt about that, and we hope its original discoverer will make a big pile of money out of it.
