People are frantic over Mrs. McMullen’s new process photographs which lay Aristo in the shade.
The weather has been fine this week for harvesting and the farmers have been making the best of it.
Mr. Staton, the enterprising second hand store keeper, having traded some western land for the marble yard property on west Main street, will soon move his establishment there.
A new addition to the Methodist parsonage nears completion. John Bitner the contractor is doing a good job assisted by Jake Brumbaugh.
Dr. Porter has moved his office to the large commodious room over Steiner’s store, where he has fine quarters.
Sherig Davis brought us some mammoth cherries Monday from what he called “88 one of the best farms in the best township in the best county in the best state in the best country on earth”—which to get back to the antecedent is the Farm of B.R. Davis in Catlin Township.
The retirement of the Wheeler Bros. from business has occasioned general regret in the community. The Wheeler Bros. are men of wonderful energy and ability. Whatever they do or wherever they go, the Record and an army of Marion County friends will follow them with best wishes.
