The Fourth of July committee will have a thirty-three percent dividend to hand over to contributors after September 1. Rosse Case and Herbert Thorp are to be congratulated. Don’t forget the date. Money not called for will be turned over to the band boys.

Misses Lydia and Lizzie Sommers are the pleased possessors of one of those sweet toned Tryber pianos, bought of V.E. Healea & Co.

Three companies of the 16th Regular Infantry from Little Rock, Arkansas, arrived in Marion Sunday afternoon and went into camp on the ball grounds, remaining until Tuesday morning. The boys were on their way to the drill grounds at Fort Riley.

Come one, come all to the ice cream social at Chingawasa Springs, Friday evening, August 7. A good time is assured to everyone

The old Park Hotel that has for many years graced the corner of Fourth and Main has been successfully moved and is now being placed on its new foundation south of the Santa Fe station. Mr. J.E. Gilbert the owner, will make of it a modern building and it will be used in connection with the Cottage hotel.

The Fats and Leans ball game on Wednesday evening netted $3 to the Park bridge fund. Score 15 to 11 in favor of the Fats. The latter object to having to play amateurs.
