There will be a car of ice on the street for general sale Saturday morning between 8 and 10. Geo. Graff.

LADIES—I will be in Marion at the Cottage Hotel Sept. 6 to demonstrate custom-made American Queen corsets and abdominal belts. I will also have a full line of ladies tailoring goods, velvets, silks, and broad cloths. Suits and cloaks tailored to your measure. —Mary B. Crosier, Peabody, Kansas.

Chief of Police Wheat of Augusta brought Dr. Appleby’s car this week and turned it over to her. He is the official with whom the authorities here have been having trouble in the effort to get the car. He was holding it for a big reward, distinctly in violation of the law.

Due to his attitude ouster proceeding were instituted by the state against him. He had evidently undergone a complete change of position for he delivered the car here, was very pleasant in his manner, and asked no reward or charges.
