Rev. Reuben Riggs, one of the pioneer citizens of Marion county, passed away at his home in Wichita on last Thursday, Jan. 25. With his parents, he came to this County in the Sixties, when he was about fifteen years of age, and his years in this county were spent in the Florence community.

Prof. Scott had his class in Agriculture out to Paul Williams’ place the other day to see Paul’s fine Hereford cattle.

The general delivery window of the post office will be closed at 6:30 in the evening beginning to-day, February 1st. They close this much earlier that they may be able to get the work on the inside closed up by the regular time. The window will be opened a little earlier in the morning, perhaps at 7:45.

Fred Propp brought in three new Buicks and Overlands from Kansas City Sunday. He has three carloads of these cars on the way.

The excavating for the new German Baptist church is now completed and the material on hands for the cement work.

Dr. and Mrs. R.C. Smith and son Owen are expected home next week from New Orleans where Mr. Smith has been taking some special medical work.

Mr. and Mrs. H.T. Rolley are the owners of a new Studebaker, which they bought from Thorp and Propp.

The party finding an automobile glove between here and Lincolnville last Sunday can find the mate at Claney and Stinchcomb’s hardware store at Lincolnville.
