The Dobbs school where Miss Alma Stenzel teaches gave a fine entertainment last Wednesday evening. Following the entertainment, a pie social was held, the proceeds amounting to $15 or $16. The money will be used to buy supplies for the school

The annual Father and Son “Stag” will be held on Friday evening of this week and the event this year will not only included a feed, but all sorts of games will be put on. The affair will be held in the new Forney building, a place adapted to athletic games

The work for excavating for the new German Baptist church has been commenced but is being delayed by the cold spell.

John Amick had the misfortune to lose a fine Jersey cow Friday night.

Miss Olive Kackley of Chicago came yesterday and began to work on the Senior play which is to be given Dec. 20. Miss Kackley will be remembered as the dramatic coach who so successfully prepared the Seniors for their play last year.

The Federated Ladies’ bazaar last Friday was well attended and a real success. The candy, needle-work and supper were especially fine and something over a hundred dollars was cleared.

Mr. and Mrs. Lester Johnson are the parents of a twelve pound boy born Sunday.
