The annual Christmas parade will be at 1 p.m. Nov. 29 in downtown Marion. This year’s theme is “A (Stay Home) Country Christmas in Marion.”

District 4 Babe Ruth Commissioner David Branson and Russ Cain have signed a contract to bring the Cal Ripkin state tournament for 11-year-olds to Marion July 22 through 26. Cain will be tournament director.

An article by Rowena Plett, entitled “Aging on a High Note,” features Adeline Bernhardt of Tampa as a “woman who provides a role model to look up to in life.”

Marion Middle School students selected for the South Central Kansas Educators junior high honor choir are Abbey Smith, Zach Robson, Katey Ehrlich, Amanda Stuchlik, Nick Meyer, Seth Crawford, James Jones, and Megan Davies.
