In honor of Veterans Day, this issue features an article about Vietnam War veteran Bob Gillett, who lives at Marion County Lake.

Also featured are Chris, Tamra, Heather, and Molly Holub of Marion, all currently serving in the military, and Rick Mounts of Lehigh, recently returned from deployment in Iraq.

Attending “Chicago” at the Crown Uptown Theatre in Wichita, an event planned by Marion Senior Center, were Connie Rock, Margaret Wilson, Bettie Batt, Janet Bryant, Estelle McCarty, Richard and Phyllis Hein, Mary Costello, Sylvia Helmer, LaVaughn Klose, Wilma Nice, and Shirley Moore.

As November is National Home Care Month, St. Luke Hospital congratulates Marion County Home Care current employees Chris Combs, Janet Herzet, Judy Carroll, Lynette Schmidt, Loreen Hett, Margie Tajchman, Mary Ann Conyers, Sharon Ewing, and Ana Krause for its 30 years of dedicated service.

The 16th annual Marion County Toy Run begins at 1 p.m. Saturday at SherBowl Lanes, Marion.
