The seventh annual military pilgrimage to Pilsen, home of Korean War hero and chaplain, Father Emil Kapaun, will take place on Veteran’s Day. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Prayers for his beatification, military honors, and a wreath-laying ceremony will follow at the memorial on the church grounds.

A feature story tells how Mike Ehrlich is a specialist and expert who has forgotten more about cattle’s feet than you will ever want to know. Ehrlich has been trimming hooves since he worked on a summer job with Rex and John Siebert in 1978.

Published in this issue are articles that include the following reunions: the Garlow family on Oct. 10; the Kleiber family, Oct. 18; and the Groening and Siebert families, Aug. 8.

Pictured receiving a hug from his aunt, Judy Houdyshell, is Matt Loveless, Centre High School graduate, who is visiting relatives and friends as he continues to recover from being shot multiple times Dec. 5 outside his home in Tierrasanta, California.
