Marion County Treasurer Jeannine Bateman has been named the 2009 Betty J. McBride Kansas Outstanding Treasurer.

But some teenagers don’t think they need a youth center. “That would be great for the younger kids, give them place to hang out,” Logan Richmond said. “We already have our hangout spot.”
