At a meeting Nov. 19, Marion Advancement Campaign asked donors and residents for input about a possible Marion City Auditorium renovation project.

The third annual Marion Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade is Dec. 7 in downtown Marion. This year’s theme is “Santa’s Helpers.”

Marion Elementary School named its November students of the month Tuesday. Winning students are Bret Voth, Jacob Spachek, Jade Corona, Braden Fahey, Luke Lanning, Emmy Hess, Tyler Arocha, Evann Heidebrecht, Jayden Hallowell, Nevin Shields, Janson Garman, Jaden Slifer, Bethany Grimmett, Tristan Williams, Regina Noonan, and Marissa Jacobson.

The family of Ellen Darrow is hosting a come and go reception at Aulne United Methodist Church Dec. 14 in celebration of her 90th birthday

Fifteen boys of Boy Scout Troop 102 are working on the auto maintenance merit badge. Chris Stuchlik of Cardie Oil Company of Tampa will counsel the goys in general auto care. Scouts involved are Tim Stuchlik, Dylan Goebel, Nathan Cyr, Adam Molleker, Aaron Molleker, Ben Wirtz, Justin Barr, Dylan Carpenter, Christian Czarnowsky, Spencer Fugitt, Louis Holt, Kyle Palic, Seth Snelling, and Charles Stuchlik.
