More than 50 people assisted Marion Ministerial Alliance Thursday with the annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner. There were 235 meals served with 33 meals delivered and 11 carried out. More than $1,400 was raised with most to benefit Marion Fire Department.

Announcements appearing in this week’s edition include the upcoming 60th anniversary celebration of Alden and Betty Slusser and the 50th of Lee and Marlene Bernhardt, all of Marion.

Gary Ewert shared highlights of his trip to England and his observations of the school system there at the Nov. 20 meeting of P.E.O.

The 2006-07 Marion Middle School Wildcat girls basketball team includes the following players: Victoria Steiner, Olivia Young, Ashley Garth, Taylor Harms, Beth Nesser, Leah James, Kitty Collett, Jessie Taylor, Annie Whitaker, Megan Overton, Whitney Gordon, Katlynn Shaft, and Alex Vogel. The team hosts Wichita Collegiate this Thursday.
