2005-06 Marion High School boys’ basketball team will use a mix of older and younger players, but all six seniors should contribute during the year. Seniors pictured are Clayton Garnica, Jeremy Vondenkamp, David DeForest, Jeff Richmond, Josh Kelsey, and Russell Ploutz.

Fireworks for the New Year’s Eve celebration will be fired from the Concrete Products plant on South Third Street. The annual ball drop will be from the north side of the elevator owned by Cooperative Grain and Supply, instead of the courthouse since the flagpole recently was repainted.

Workers were busy at the courthouse this week stuffing envelopes with ballots for the special election regarding a casino being located in Marion County.
